Family Day Care is a home-based child care service providing quality care for children in the homes of carers. Family Day Care provides learning and development in a safe, secure and stimulating home environment for babies and children from six weeks up to 12 years of age. Full-time, part-time, casual, before / after school, and holiday care is available, subject to availability.
Children are cared for individually or in small groups in the private homes of a carers who are supported by our Coordination Unit staff. Carers are appointed by Council and regularly visited by the Family Day Care Field Officer to ensure the ongoing quality of the care environment.
Our Family Day Care Coordination Unit can provide you with information about Family Day Care and help you choose a suitable carer. It also administers Child Care Benefit and other government subsidies.
