Triple Zero Kids' Challenge is an interactive online game to teach primary-school aged children how to use the 000 emergency telephone number. The game involves a number of safety scenarios that requires players to call 000 for assistance from the fire brigade, police or an ambulance. The graphics are child friendly and fun, with the instructions easy to follow. Children also get to hear what actually happens when they make a 000 call.
The online game, developed by New South Wales fire brigades, won a Highly Commended honour in the annual Australian Safer Communities Awards last month. To access the game, go to the Triple Zero Kids' Challenge website from the link below.
