Policy Brief: Engaging Marginalised and Vulnerable Families

The Centre for Community Child Health Policy Brief is an initiative of the Murdoch Children’s Research Institute and the Royal Children’s Hospital Melbourne, Centre for Community Child Health. The Briefs translate childhood research evidence to inform policy, practice and service delivery. The series of Briefs are concise and easy to read and aimed to stimulate informed debate about issues that affect children's health and wellbeing. The Policy Brief series presents the research under four headings and addresses:

  • Why is the issue important?
  • What does the research tell us?
  • What are the implications of the research?
  • Considerations for policy and programs

Each Policy Brief explores a specific theme relevant to early childhood and families. Previous Briefs are available in their archive section. The latest Policy Brief, Edition 18, is titled ‘Engaging Marginalised and Vulnerable Families’.
