National Children’s Week 2011

National Children's Week is celebrated annually during the fourth week of October and this year's theme is 'A Caring World Shares'. Children's Week celebrations in Nillumbik will run this year from Tuesday 25 to Thursday 27 October, including a major event in Eltham on National Children's Day.

During Nillumbik's Children's Week 2011, outcomes of the Belonging, Being & Becoming Project to date will be presented and children's artwork will be displayed. This will provide an opportunity to explore how your opinions are being interpreted and the chance to further contribute to the project. As well as highlighting the Belonging, Being and Becoming project there will be a range of free, fun and interactive children's learning and play experiences including the creation of a mural with previous Laughing Waters Artist-in-Residence, Jessie Imam, who will be at each event.

Mums and dads haven't been forgotten; there will be a free coffee van at Panton Hill and Arthurs Creek, and coffee vouchers at Eltham supported by the Nillumbik Family Friendly Spaces and Places accredited local business, Shillinglaw Cottage.
