Council have appointed the firm Davis Langdon as the external Project Managers for the Hurstbridge Family Centre Project. Davis Langdon has developed a Project Plan that provides Council with some revised key dates for the Hurstbridge Family Centre Project. On the basis of the project planning work, now being undertaken by Davis Langdon the following project milestones and timeframes can be identified:
- Expressions of Interest for the Project Steering Committee closed 30 September 2010
- Project Steering Committee membership to be endorsed by Council by the end of November 2010
- First Project Steering Committee Meeting is scheduled to take place early December 2010
- Design team to be approved by Council by the end of December 2010
- Temporary accommodation will now be operational at the commencement of term three 2011 (18 July 2011)
- Ferguson Park and Hurstbridge Preschools will therefore continue to operate their programs from the current preschool facilities until temporary location is available
- Bulletin Number two will be distributed in November 2010 and will contain further details regarding the project plan and timelines.
