Children's community art opportunity

Artists are invited to design and create small scale community artworks in collaboration with disability groups and local schools for permanent installation in the Eltham Lower Park Playspace development. The Eltham Lower Park Playspace is designed as an inclusive, all abilities playground. The motif of the Playspace is the Eltham Copper Butterfly, with the overall theme being Working Together. It is intended that various collaborative community arts projects for Eltham Lower Park Playspace will be created and installed over the approximate course of a year, enabling the Playspace to evolve with new discoveries for the children.

The deadline for expressions of interest (including proposal for design, fabrication, installation, budget and timeline) is due Friday 29 June 2012. Applicants must also hold a current Working With Children Check.

For more information and Playspace plan, please contact Michelle Zemancheff, Cultural Development Officer on 9433 3126.
