The Wheel Talk program visits over 200 schools and tertiary institutions in Victoria each year. In the one-and-a-half hour interactive session students will be given a presentation and take part in a wheelchair basketball activity, where they will learn about the skills and abilities of people with a disability, wheelchair athletes and the important issue of spinal cord injury prevention.
The program offers students the opportunity to ask questions about living with a disability, what it is like to play sport with a disability or any other queries they have around disability. The presenters of the program provide an intriguing insight into the world of disability sport and living with a disability and their passion for the program will leave a lasting impact on everyone involved.
