The Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) museum is located at RAAF
Base Williams, Point Cook Road, Point Cook. As the birthplace of
the Australian Flying Corps and the Royal Australian Air Force,
this museum tells one of Australia's most important aviation
stories, that of the second oldest air force in the world. You can
gain a unique insight to Australian aviation history, the Air Force
and RAAF Base Point Cook by taking a guided tour. Guided tours are
conducted by museum staff and trained volunteer host officers.
Tours are available from Tuesday to Friday. The last available time
for a guided tour booking is 1:30pm. Free Interactive Flying
Displays are presented at 1pm on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays.
The Museum is open Tuesday to Friday from 10am
to 3pm and weekends and public holidays from 10am to 5pm and closed
on Mondays, Good Friday and Christmas Day. Admission is free,
however donations are gratefully accepted. Visitors over 16 will
need photo ID to enter the RAAF Base.
