The National Wool Museum is located at 26 Moorabool Street, Geelong and is Australia's only comprehensive museum of wool, showcasing the Australian wool story - from the sheep's back to the clothes rack. The museum also has specialised events and school holiday programs.
Upcoming Events:
Earth Quest - Outer Space to Inner
Earth
Daily from 6 August to 3 October
Go on an incredible journey from the outer limits of the Milky Way galaxy, through our Solar System and into the very centre of planet Earth. En route, engage with interactive exhibits that cover a wide range of topics such as astronomy, geology, geography, environmental science and biology.
An education program for primary and high school students will be offered, together with a special school holiday program during the September 2010 school holidays.
Toys: Science at Play
Daily from 15 October to early 2011.
Many of the toys we love work because of physics. You can tinker with a spinning top, mess around with magnets and play with the science that makes toys work, in this fun and interactive exhibition.
The National Wool Museum is open weekdays from 9.30am to 5pm and weekends from 1pm to 5pm, except for Christmas Day, Boxing Day and Good Friday when it is closed. For more information about the National Wool Museum, phone 5272 4701 or go to their website from the link below.
