IMAX Melbourne Museum has the world's third largest screen. Boasting a screen that is seven stories high (23 metres) and one and a half semi-trailers wide (32 metres), it provides you with the ultimate movie experience.
The movie theatre is located within the Melbourne Museum in Carlton, just behind the Royal Exhibition Building and runs between Rathdowne and Nicholson Street. IMAX screens a wide variety of specially made large format films, many in 3D. Open every day of the year (except Christmas Day) films usually screen on the hour, every hour from 10am to 10pm. The exception to this is when special digitally re-mastered feature length films are screened.
