Learn all about Captain James Cook’s life, his amazing voyages and the legacy he left for future generations, in the discovery centre at Cooks Cottage situated in the Fitzroy Gardens (Wellington Parade, East Melbourne). Cooks cottage is the oldest building in Australia and you can experience what life was like in the eighteenth century as you walk through this double-storey cottage and traditional English cottage garden. Open seven days a week from 9am to 5pm (except Christmas Day), with last admission at 4.45pm. the cost is $4.50 for adults, $2.20 for children, $2.70 for seniors, students and pensioners or $12 for families.
