Arts Victoria

Arts Victoria offers a range of funding programs that support Victorian artists and arts organisations. These programs aim to encourage excellence, develop good ideas, build audiences, support professional and sector development and increase access to the arts for all Victorians.

Business Grants

The Australian Government's principle business resource provides information on grants and other funding programs available from governments. These relate to starting a business, expanding a business, research and development, innovation and exporting. The Grants & Assistance Finder allows you to search both at a national and state level.

Community Development Grants

The Australian Government Department of Families, Housing, Community Services and Indigenous Affairs provide a range of grants to assist communities to expand, develop or start a project.

The Australian Government Department of Regional Australia, Regional Development and Local Government has developed the GrantsLINK directory to help individuals, businesses and communities find government grants and assistance. The GrantsLINK directory has information about federal, state and local government funding programs that can help you to: develop solutions to local and national problems; fund ideas and initiatives; and get assistance in times of hardship.

Ian Potter Foundation

The Ian Potter Foundation funds projects by individuals and organisations that improve the community's ability to respond creatively to social, environmental, science and health issues, through the arts and education. Grants are available in arts, community wellbeing, education, travel and conference, healthy communities, medical research, environment and conservation, and science.

Inger Rice Foundation Grants

The Inger Rice Foundation fosters activities and programs concerned with improving parent/child relationships in Australia, particularly those parental relationships with children from birth to primary school age. The foundation offers financial support for early intervention and family support programs, training, research and the provision of materials and equipment. Grant applications are ongoing but the assessment process occurs every six to eight weeks.

Multicultural Community Grants

The Victorian Multicultural Commission runs a Community Grants Program to provide support to Victoria's culturally and linguistically diverse communities, especially new and emerging communities, to develop and sustain local community organisations and programs. The program aims to address the needs of ethnic communities, combat the disadvantages faced by many of these communities and promote community cohesion and harmony.

Philanthropy Australia

Philanthropy Australia is the national peak body for philanthropy and membership is made up of trusts, foundations, families and individuals who want to make a difference through philanthropy. Besides supporting its members, Philanthropy Australia also provides information on understanding, accessing or partnering with the sector. You can also purchase The Australian Directory of Philanthropy Online which lists over 350 Australian trusts and foundations (with their contact details) to assist you to locate foundations which may be able to fund your organisation.

Planning and Community Development Grants

The Victorian Government Department of Planning and Community Development is responsible for managing the state's planning system and building stronger communities. They have a number of grants available to individuals and organisations in a range of community sectors including: communities, disability, local government, indigenous, seniors, sport and recreation, veterans, women, and youth.

R.E. Ross Trust Grants

The Ross Trust makes grants available throughout the year to eligible organisations with projects and activities that: address disadvantage and inequity; encourage and promote social inclusiveness, community connectedness and health and well being; and protect and preserve Australian flora and fauna.
