Communicating over the Internet is becoming increasingly popular,
especially amongst young people. With over 200 social networking
websites including MySpace, MSN, and Facebook, it can be
challenging for parents, teachers or carers to keep up. Add instant
messaging, chat rooms, blogging and the Internet becomes a powerful
tool and means for communication. It is important to ensure safety
measures and common sense are applied so we have provided a list of
websites that contain a range of information and resources for
addressing cyber safety and cyber bullying issues with young
people.
Bullying in general can also be very challenging for parents,
teachers and the children involved. Below are some organisations
who provide in-school programs to address the issues of bullying
and violence.
