Eltham Toy Library

Eltham Toy Library is a not-for-profit organisation that gives members the opportunity to borrow from a huge range of over 800 toys, games and puzzles. For a small annual membership fee, families from Eltham and surrounding suburbs can provide a variety of toys for their children from birth to school age in a cost effective way! The advantages of using a toy library include:

  • children become quickly bored with toys after their initial interest wanes and also require different toys as they reach new developmental stages
  • provides a variety and versatility of learning experiences
  • save money and space on unwanted toys
  • children love visiting the toy library and helping to choose toys to take home
  • parents have the opportunity to meet other families with young children in the community

They are funded by membership fees, fundraising and occasional grants. Each year a committee of parents volunteer their time to help maintain the running of the toy library. Their role includes coordinating fundraising activities, purchasing new toys, publicising our services and producing quarterly newsletters to keep members informed.

The toy library is open on Tuesdays from 9.30am to 11am, Thursdays from 7pm to 8pm and Sundays from 3.30pm to 4.30pm. For more information, go to their website from the link below or telephone the number listed during session times.
